Queen West

This downtown street is always an interesting place. There never seems to be a shortage of colour.

Every time I stroll along Queen West, there is generally a new storefront.

Below is a picture of the Silver Snail and below that (in a photo merge) is a picture of the Peter Pan restaurant on the corner of Queen and Peter Streets. Neat, eh?

St. James Park

Aahh, spring has officially sprung in the city.

This is the park that is adjacent to St. James Cathedral.

Here, in the Spring, you will find three beds of yellow tulips.

They were planted by the Garden Club of Toronto.

This organization began designing and planting in the gardens around Toronto, as early as 1946.

Together with Landscape Ontario, the Club also co-founded Canada Blooms, the highly successful Toronto spring flower show.
The park's gardens and grass are tended by City workers.

The Swing

I am teaching myself the basics of Photoshop Elements.

This is a "photomerge" (three pictures in one image).

Move your mouse over the picture and click on it once.

This way you can see the picture in much more detail.

I used 3 pictures, that someone took of the "swing" in a lane off Queen West.

Stay tuned for more experiments in photography.
